I am offering a very limited one year beginner to pro corsetry course to one or two individuals.

The cost is £5,000 per person, payable in advance, and includes 15 days of tuition over the space of the year - dates of which will be agreed in advance.

During this period all aspects of the craft of corsetry will be taught from patterning, to advanced techniques covering a whole range of applications and scenarios.

Tuition will take place in my studio, in the UK and students must attend in person for most of the days in order to get the most out of the teachings.

Students will be expected to practice what they learn between study days with a set list of tasks to complete before the next in-person session.

Maximum of 2 slots available in any one year. individually or with one other.

Subjects covered will include all aspects of corset making and construction including:

• Corset fitting and construction

• Corset patterning

• Pattern manipulation

• Cupped Corsetry

• Incorporating corsetry into dress foundations

• Corsetry for asymmetry

• Professional techniques for streamlining work flow and efficiency

It is not possible to do the 15 days in one go - you will forget more than you learn

Most of the tuition will be in person, with some online mentoring. The exact balance can be discussed if the prospective student lives outside the UK but you should budget for at least 6-10 days in person.

This course is suitable for those who are already proficient dressmakers, proffessional and/or want to go professional. This course is not for complete beginners or hobbyists. The price reflects my teaching experience, expertise and the fact that many of my students are now running very successful businesses with celebrity clients all over the world.
