Over the last 15 years, Julia Bremble has become established and acknowledged as a leading expert in the art of corset making, and has taught all levels of corsetry to students from all over the world in her woodland studio in rural Oxfordshire. Her work has been featured on the BBC, in local and national press and she has a successful design business providing bespoke corsetry and couture to many prestigious clients. She is the author of the best selling e-book and standard reference work, "Corset Making, from beginner to intermediate" published by Rainbow Disks in 2012 and was the founder and organiser of the annual "Oxford Conference of Corsetry" a unique event, the first and only of it's kind, which brought together corset makers of all levels from all over the world to network, share information and learn from eachother between 2013-2019.
For 13 years Julia also ran the online corset making supplies shop “Sew Curvy Retail” where she not only supplied many professionals, TV and film production companies but also acted as a consultant for some of them. During this time she founded The Oxford School of Corsetry. Through her study of anthropometrics and anatomy alongside traditional pattern cutting, Julia has developed a unique method and approach to corset making which she is very pleased to be able to share with students so that they may continue to improve and innovate in the art of corsetry for future generations.
Currently there are no in-person spaces for professional tuition. There may be some available in autumn of 2024
