Terms and Conditions of Sale
Bespoke & custom Corsets & Gowns
Bespoke and custom corsets and garments are made to measure to clients measurements and specifications and are individual to each client. A bespoke pattern is created for each client at the commencement of the work and a custom pattern is customised to clients measurements and/or figure anomalies such as asymmetry or a larger waist reduction.
All patterns drafted for your garment(s) remain the property of JB Corsets and are not for sale. Custom and bespoke patterns are kept on file for 12 months - should clients wish to order further garments from them a discount will apply which corresponds to patterning and fitting costs, providing no drastic changes are required.
Completed custom and bespoke corsets are non refundable and non returnable, this includes corsets customised for tight-lacing and corsets made to bespoke patterns on file.
Upon payment of the initial deposit, the client signifies acceptance of the terms of sale noted here and work will commence.
Payment for bespoke and custom garments
A detailed estimate with a stepped payment plan is created for each customer which reflects every stage of production. When the initial deposit is paid, the estimate is converted into an account, the client accepts the Terms of Sale, and work will commence.
All deposits and payments are non returnable and non-refundable once work has started on each phase. The final deposit may change according to agreed changes made during production and these will always be noted and confirmed via email after each phase is complete or before the next phase is commenced. ie: if items are added or removed from the account.
Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card via a payment link which is supplied on request.
Full payment for corsets and garments is due upon completion of production and before collection or despatch of the garment(s).
All payments including the final deposit must be complete before the garment is released.
If payment is not received at least 24 hours before collection, the goods will be held and any collection arrangements will be cancelled. Similarly, all payments must be complete before postal despatch.
Payment Plans
We are happy to set up a payment plan of up to 5 payments after the initial deposit is paid. This arrangement must be agreed in writing with a timed schedule. Payments must be made on time. The corset will be made and delivered upon final payment. Reminders will be sent at the appropriate times. If reminders are ignored, and/or if the payment plan is not adhered to, we cannot guarantee timely delivery of goods. All payments are forfeit if there is a period of 6 months or more between payments.
Shipping
Shipping is not included in the cost of bespoke or custom work. All items are shipped by tracked mail or courier, and fully insured. Carriage fees are additional to the cost of the corset and will be added to the final invoice. Customs fees (where applicable) are the responsibility of the customer.
Postage fees are not refundable.
Ready to Wear, One of a Kind Corsets & Samples
Ready to Wear corsets made from our standard size chart for women, have a very wide range of fit and will fit most female figure types very well, however, they will not give a bespoke fit. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that their size corresponds to the size marked on the corset and on the size charts available at point of sale.
All corsets are sent out in perfect condition and with care should last several lifetimes. Please follow the care instructions that come with your corset, to ensure you get the best results.
Any problems with fit or quality should be reported within 7 days of receipt so that we can sort out any problems immediately. If a fault develops within 6 months of sale, please let me know immediately so that we can ascertain the cause of the problem. Mis-use or mis-treatment of the item beyond normal wear and tear, will negate any guarantee.
Ready To Wear standard size corsets are sent to customers in perfect condition having been rigorously quality checked before leaving the studio. They can be returned or exchanged at our discretion, as long as they are received back in perfect pristine condition, at the buyers expense within 7 days of receipt.
To ensure safe arrival back at the studio, items must be sent via a tracked and insured method and the buyer also takes responsibility for any damage incurred in transit. If the goods are returned damaged, show signs of wear or are not saleable for any reason refunds/exchanges are at the discretion of JB Corsets.
As all of our current RTW are designed for a female physique, we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds on our RTW which do not fit a natural male physique.
Sample Corsets are manufacturing samples and may not be perfect shop stock as they have been used to test new materials, techniques or embellishments, or may have been made for a photographic shoot and modelled by one or more models. They are offered for sale at a large discount in the size given and are sold as seen with any faults clearly pointed out in the product description.
Sample and RTW corsets are returnable at customer cost within 7 days of receipt and refundable via a voucher or exchange, as long as the item returned is unworn and fit for sale. Ready to wear corsets made for female physiology will not fit male physiology.
Where vital information is withheld (ie size information or assigned birth gender), all refunds and returns are forfeit.
Payment Plans

Postage fees are not included. Reminders will be sent at the appropriate times however if these are ignored, and/or If the payment plan is not adhered to, we cannot guarantee timely delivery of goods. All payments are foreit if there is a period of 6 months or more between payments.
